Jenny Laporte
Jennie was born in Fresno, California where she began her dance career at the age of four and was debuted as a carrot to the world in her first performance. Shortly after, her family moved to Boise where she continued to dance, starting competition in the second grade and remaining on a performing team up through high school. On top of studio dancing, Jennie joined the Capital High School Golden Girls as a sophomore and went on to be the captain her senior year. After a summer stuck in bed after surgery, Jennie went into BSU as a member of the Honors College and as a Health Science Studies major looking to eventually complete her doctorate in physical therapy. One year away from dance was enough for her and starting up in her second year of college, Jennie became a member of the Boise State Harvey Neef Mane Line Dancers. Jennie has been teaching at Dance Dimensions since her freshman year in college and has loved every second of it. When she’s not dancing, performing, or teaching she thoroughly enjoys school, reading, writing and hanging out with fellow nerds! If she can accomplish one thing here at Dance Dimensions, she hopes it can be instilling the same passion and commitment of dance she has into the lives of those Jennie is fortunate to teach.
